Anyone have ideas on this person?
If I am reading the 1901 census correctly, it records him as 'Professional footballer', but I can't find anything about him or the team he played for. In 1901 he was single, age 24, living with his parents and sibling at 136 Dartmouth St, West Bromwich.

Thanks for your replies, but still no info as to which club he played for! I've had a look at WBAs records and there's no mention of any Lowe, but then it doesn't have to be the Baggies, he could have played for many others. Be interesting to find out though.
I note he was a publican in 1911 - was it The Victoria? Looks as if his playing days had finished by then.

Just before you archive it theres a JA Lowe born 1876 West Bromwich playing for West Bromwich Albion. He made 4 appearances for the club as goalkeeper between 1899-1903 before leaving to play for Willenhall in 1903. He joined West Brom from Coombs Wood in 1899.
