think you hit the jackpot there san (color coded people on census to show the flow)

look like robert gregory married mary powell judging by ages and place of birth

henry and robert look like brothers jane there mother may be related to edward or maria?

so mary powell prob maria evans daughter from first marriage along with phillip, elizabeth,(collins?) and amelia

and edward and maria evans from second marriage

so is alice maud powell phillip powells daughter her parents died mary adopted her ?
or amelia born out of wedlock ?

1901 census could this be blodwin parents ? amelia being mary sister ?

Marriages Sep 1884

Clee Maria Pontypridd 11a 627
COUSINS Charles Edwin Pontypridd 11a 627
Davies David Pontypridd 11a 627
POWELL Rosanna Amelia Pontypridd 11a 627

if this is mary sister amelia then it would poss rule her out as being alice maud mother ? as alice was born c 1886 to 1889 according to census ?

Wow,

thankyou so much!! It's taken so many years of people in my family trying to find out where she came from, and it's only taken you all 24 hours!

It's all a bit confusing at the moment because there is so much information. So, Alice Maude Gregory was Mary and Robert Gregory's neice? As she was listed as Alice Maude Powell , Neice in one census, but later on she is listed as Alice Maude Gregory, Daughter.

As far as I know Alice Maude Gregory was born in December 1889, but like I said, I have no birth cert etc ... that's just what I know from word of mouth. I also have heard that all the Gregory children were adopted, so that would mean her brothers were adopted too. I know when the Gregory's were older they also adopted another child and my great grandmother knew about that and it was spoken about openly. I do wonder if Alice Maude Gregory knew who her real parents were but never said anything about it, because it seemed like she was ashamed of it but apparantly she told my aunt that she knew she was adopted but it wasn't something that they spoke about openly in their family.

I know that around 1911, when she got married she was living at 11 High Street, Blackpool. I do not know why they got married in Bedwelty.

So, how do I go about proving this? Or what should I do next?

I really appreciate all your help, I'm living in NZ and not familiar with all the place names etc and still learning about genealogy. I really can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all of your time and help in helping me to solve this family mystery :P

Anymore help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much, Rebecca :)
