ARC TBC Marsh Family in Kent/Middlesex?

Could anyone help me with the problems below? They all centre around my greatx4 grandfather, Nathaniel Marsh.

Here he is in the 1861 census:

Nathaniel Marsh; 49; Sawyer; b. Throwley, Kent
Emma H; 39; b. Bethnal Green, Middlesex
Harriett A Marsh; 3; b. Wingham, Kent
Mary Marsh; 1; b. Wingham, Kent

Pg. no: 17
Reg. no: RG09
Folio: 51

And the 1871:

Nathaniel Marsh; 60; Ag. Lab; b. Throwley, Kent
Emma Marsh; 45; b. London
Harriet Marsh; 13; Wingham, Kent
Llewellyn Marsh; 6; b. Wingham, Kent

Pg. no: 7
Reg. no: RG10
Folio: 52

I think I have him in the 1851:

Susanah Marsh; 72; Head; Pauper; b. Wingham, Kent
Nathaniel Marsh; 40; Lodger; Sawyer; b. Throwley, Kent

Both unmarried.

Folio: 385

But I can't find him in the 1841 census?

Here are his children's birth registrations from the GRO:

MARSH, HARRIET ALICE [DAY]
GRO Ref: 1857 S Quarter in EASTRY Vol: 02A Pg: 618

MARSH, MARY [DAY]
GRO Ref: 1859 S Quarter in EASTRY Vol: 02A Pg: 666

MARSH, LLEWLYNN [DAY]
GRO Ref: 1864 S Quarter in EASTRY Vol: 02A Pg: 713

So by the looks of it, Nathaniel Marsh should have married Emma Day, but I can't find any marriage record?
He is about 15 years older than her, so could have had a previous marriage before her, but I cannot find one. She could also have had a previous marriage seeing as she has their eldest child at 32. but again, I can't find any evidence of that.

Any help at all with this family would be useful! That includes Emma and her family too!

Hope I've put down all info needed.
