Hi Linell
I'm sorry if I appear a bit dim, but it's Friuday, and I'm tired, but where does Thomas Allchurch fit in with my Hill/Bache family?

Re: Who is Christiana Ruth
Hi David I found a Joseph Bate and Christiana Ruth on the 1901 (think it was 1901) Census yesterday, while looking for another Joseph Bate. But these two were 50 years old, so born about 1850
Thought it was worth mentioning to you, best wishes from Linell.

Re: Who is Christiana Ruth
Linell, Dianel
Sorry, but I've been working on some unexpected antipodean events that are starting to turn the NZ branch of my lot into something of a real puzzle.
Thanks for the updates, I'll pursue them when I get home. I suspect the Joseph Bate one might be a red herring, though. I don't think I've seen the Christiana Hill death index entry before. If it looks right, I might even get a copy of the certificate
