There is
Ada Nash 07 Dec ? Female Unpd Duties (War Pension) Widowed 365 1
71 Worplesdon Road , Guildford M.B., Surrey, England
I think the date looks like 63 for the year

Re: 1939 Register William & Ada Nash
Thanks. That's the one. Although her birth was registered in March quarter 1877 so the date should probably have been 1876. Her husband was a P.O.W. and died of 'flu in 1918. Was her son William (possibly William Herbert) b 1905/06 on that record?

No he wasn't with her -- she is recorded as living alone.
It doesn't look like 76 but it is almost covered by some other writing so is difficult to read.

Re: 1939 Register William & Ada Nash
Thanks.
That's definitely her as the address matches other records but it's a bother about the date, I'm not totally convinced I've got the right Ada, although the Census Records point to Ada being Ada Taylor. Oh well, I'll just have to leave a note in the record.
I don't suppose you can find William (possibly William Herbert) Nash b1905/06 probably living in Surrey can you?
Thanks again.

Thanks, the second one isn't the one, he's a William Henry, but, as per my topic in General Discussion, I'm no longer sure that William Herbert is the son of William & Ada that I'm looking for.

Yes thanks, I was hoping that there might be a record for a William without the H but I've moved away from that part of the tree for the time being so I'll start a new topic if and when I get back to it.
