Post by mumbles »

Father and Mother Benjamin and Ruth :-

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =511676994

Thomas is shown as a Widower in 1851 and 1861
but if one looks at 1841 Census
1841. Nocks Warehouse Rowley Regis Dudley Staffs.
Beryle Smith 60. Ag lab. Benj. on image.
Ruth Smith 50. Nail maker.
Thomas Smith 25.
William Smith 15.
Hannah Smith 25.
Benjn Smith 3.
Ruben Smith 1.
All born in county.

1851. Redhall Hill. Rowley Regis.
Benjamin Smith 72. Labourer.
Ruth Smith 63. Nailer.
Thomas Smith 37. Son. Widow. Labourer.
Ann Smith 8. Grand dau.
Elizabeth Smith 7. Grand dau.
Hannah Smith 5. Grand dau.
All born Rowley Regis.

I think Thomas Smith marries an Hannah Whitehall and some of children shown on bcc as Benjamin and Ruth children are actually Thomas and Hannah's children

Freereg marriage :-
St. Thomas Dudley 6/8/1837
Thomas Smith bach. Mason Netherton father Benjamin Smith Boat Loader
Hannah Whitehall sp. Darby Hand father Joseph Whitehall Nailer
Witnesses Samuel Robinson and Mary Ann Robinson

Note witnesses are same as for sister Leah Smith marriage

think Daniel Smith is a son born c. 1816
and in 1851 is living in same house as Samuel Robinson and Mary Robinson
1851 Census Sweet Turf Rowley Regis Dudley Staffs.
Samuel Robinson Head 39 Rowley Regis Dudley Worcs.
Mary Robinson wife 39 born Rowley Regis Staffs.
Ann Maria Robinson dau 17 Nailer
Moses Robinson son 13 Nailer
Emma Robinson dau 11 Scholar
Sophia Robinson dau 9
Sarah Robinson 6
Esther Robinson 4
Samuel Robinson 1
Daniel Smith Head 35 (wid) Labourer on a Pit
Benjamin Robinson 7 Scholar
Rest born Dudley Worcs.

A Samuel Robinson and Mary Robinson were witnesses at Weddings of Thomas Smith to Hannah Whitehall and Leah Robinson to John Round

Possibly Mary Robinson was Mary Ann Smith born 1811 to Benjamin and Ruth Smith
