One child as far as I can see - Esther Littley (1683 - 23 September 1727)

Esther Littley married Henry Parsons (1682 - 1731) As I research Henry Parsons' ancestors, the Littley name appears as the middle name, going back further to William Lutley/Lutteley (1404 - ?) at Enville, Staffs.

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm presuming that John Littley, father of Esther was related to Henry Parsons' ancestor at some point hence the Littley name in both Esther and Henry's ancestors? I can't seem to go back further on Esther's father's ancestors.

I'm seeing mentions of Lutley Mill in hard to read old documents, which also links to the Lyttleton family. As the spelling of Littley becomes Lytley then Lutley/Lutteley - Is the surname connected to Lutley Mill and the Lyttleton family who was involved in the Gunpowder plot?

I've googled John Lutteley of Enville and it turned out that this family consists of Lords, etc plus owned Broncroft Castle near Craven Arms along with Lutley Manor, Halesowen, etc...

Has anyone on here accessed www.myheritage.com when researching their family trees? How good is it? I'm just wary as noticed two stars out of five beneath each person so am getting the impression that it may "not all not be there?"

John Littly (B: 1660 at Lichfield, Staffs - died 12 July 1686 at Lichfield, staffs) married Sarah Barbour (B: 1645, Staffordshire - ?) on 27 November 1664 at St. Chad, Lichfield

Their daughter Esther (B 1683 at Walsall, Staffs and died on 23 September 1727 in Rowley Regis) married Henry Parsons (Baptised on 29 October 1682 at Rowley Regis & died 17 March 1731 Rowley Regis) on their marriage date of 1 July 1713.

Henry Parsons (29 Oct 1682 - 17 March 1731)'s parents were: -

William Parsons (1653, Oldbury - 17 August 1705, Rowley Regis)
Mary Grove (1655, Rowley Regis - 11 March 1726, Rowley Regis)

William Parsons married Mary Grove on 10 July 1677 at Oldbury.

Most were born in Rowley Regis with some in Lichfield and Henry Parson's ancestors further up in the line were born in Enville, which I will add later....

3. Son William Lytley Parsons (1520, Byrchfield End - 8 Feb 1566 at Byrchfield End, Handsworth)
Wife - Isabel Biddell (1535 - 1611) Marriage date: 1556

4. Son William Littley Parsons (1562, Byrchfield End - 1632)
Wife - Elinor Darby (1562, Rowley Regis - 22 Dec 1642, Rowley Regis) Marriage date: 15 April 1682 at Rowley Regis

5. Son William Littley Parsons ( 1598, Rowley Regis - 25 April 1682, Rowley Regis)
Wife: Amy Bridgewater (1600, Rowley Regis - 1642) Marriage date: 15 April 1621 at Rowley Regis

6. Son Thomas Littley Parsons (1624, Rowley Regis - 6 May 1693, Rowley Regis)
Wife: Elizabeth ? (Pryer?) (1624 - 1690)

7. Son William Parsons (1653, Oldbury - 17 August 1705, Rowley Regis)
Wife: Mary Grove (1655, Rowley Regis - 11 March 1726, Rowley Regis) Marriage date: 10 July 1677, Rowley Regis

8. Son Henry Parsons (Baptised on 29 October 1682 at Rowley Regis & died 17 March 1731 Rowley Regis)
Wife: Esther Littley (B 1683 at Walsall, Staffs and died on 23 September 1727 in Rowley Regis) Marriage date: 1 June 1713

Hope all the above ancestry shows how the name Littley runs in both Henry Parsons and also his wife Esther Littley's families.

William Lytley Parsons was married (on 1553) to his first wife Agnes Smith (1533 - 1555) before he married Isabel Biddell in 1556.

Your comment has got me going through my tree all over again and I'm now not so sure to whether Roger Lytley Parsons (1499 - 1599) is the father of William Lytley Parsons (1520 - 1566) or is it John Lytley Parsons (1495 - 1560) ?

Wondering if you have either Roger or John Lytley Parsons & their ancestors on BCC ?

Google " Litley Fragments " and you will find document that takes Litley Tree back to 13th Century
and shows connection to Parsons Tree
I have not put Litley family on BCC only Litley alias Parsons or variations of such because my other sources at Parsons Tree and Parsons Genealogy and Roger Boswell could not confirm. If can add to tree do so as I added a long time ago and more information is now available
