Road works

Post by jac »

Well..I must say that this is a subject that has never really interested me.. except if they have caused problems, but have been totally astonished at the work that has been going on over the last 2 days outside my
house.. in Wordsley. Re-surfacing.
Everything seems to have fitted in place, the machinery is fantastic!! and this from a Granny...who at times is stuck in the past!!

My Grandad's occupation was described as a "gas labourer" on my Mom's baptismal record in 1928. I know this involved the laying of pipes...all shovel work then!!!

Can you send them over here when they are done? We have lots and lots of holes in the roads.

Same here, the bit of tarmac outside our house hasn't been replaced for the last 20 years or so. There used to be a level crossing (and a railway ), and the white stop line is still just about visible!
