right this is the best tip you will ever get on wine

if it cost £100 a bottle and you dont like it it,s a bad wine
if it cost £2.99 a bottle and you like it its a good wine

and here endith the lesson it all personal choice and eat what you like with it as long as it dosent kill the flavour of the wine or what your eating with it, their surpose to complement each other.

My taste in wines is decidedly unrefined! I love a big full-flavoured Australian red with lots of body. Shiraz seems to be the grape variety that does it for me. A wine for drinking sitting by an open fire with a big fat book and the soundtrack to 'Local Hero' (my favourite film) playing in the background - This music to be replaced, as the evening wears on and the empties mount up, by Rodrigo's Concerto D'Aranjuez, to which (although it is of course an instrumental piece) I might be inspired to sing along, beating time with a near-by stuffed toy.

Sounds good, Peter.

NL, most of the Aussies males of my acquaintance are a little too full-bodied ... and a bit shiny on top rather than blonde. But, hey, I can fix you up with one of those no worries ... Want to come over for Christmas?

Music? Hmmm ... I'm pretty eclectic my iTunes list runs something like:
The Adagio from Spartacus
Air on a G-String (the Mendelsson one!!!)
Annies Song - John Denver
Beast of Burden (sung by Bette Midler)
some New Age music - relaxation stuff
Black Magic Woman - Santana (lots of Santana)
The Clancy Brothers
Bolero (Now that'd go well on Connections ... Da da de da, da da Da Da Da Daa Dum dumty dum)
Simon & Garfunkel (Oops, showing my age  )
Dire Straits
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir (Yes, truly - Christmas Carols!)
Secret Garden
Karunesh
Golden Wedding - Woody Herman (talking of Classics!)
Light My Fire - The Doors
John Denver's "Perhaps Love" by Placido Domingo
Only Women Bleed - Julie Covington

And on and on and .... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
