ARC.....................Dibbles--

Post by mumbles »

Di has this Dibble Family as Samuel Dibble born estimate 1767 and Sarah Cooksey born 1769

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =343064687

and then 5 children born estimate 1819 to 1822 when Sarah was between 50 and 53 years old which is unlikely

I think this is Samuel and Sarah on 1841 and 1841 Census

1841 Census Cock Head Darlaston Walsall Staffs.
Samuel Dibble 45 Miner Burner
Sarah Dibble 45
Joseph Dibble 21 Miner Burner
John Dibble 15 Miner Burner
Sarah Dibble 11
Thomas Dibble 9
Ann Dibble 4
All born Staffs.

1851 Census Cock Heath Darlaston Walsall Staffs.
Samuel Dibble Head 55 Day Labourer born Bilston Staffs.
Sarah Dibble wife 55 born Sedgley Staffs.
John Dibble son 25 Day Labourer born Wolverhampton Staffs.
Sarah Dibble sau 22 Dressmaker born Wolverhampton Staffs.
Thomas Dibble son 19 Day Labourer born Darlaston Staffs.
Ann Maria Dibble dau 15 Scholar born Darlaston Staffs.

This would tie up with 1814 marriage of Samuel Dibble to Sarah Cooksey

May be two different families as Goldthorn Hill is just South of Wolverhampton and Cock Heath was East of Wolverhampton and closer to Walsall

It does need sorting...
It says Sarah married Samuel Dibble abt 1814, it shows her 2 of her youngest children born from previous marriage in 1815 and 1819,
Looking at familysearch the marriage shows Sarah Cooksey, should it not have been Smith?
