ARC TBC Loines/loins/loyns/lines etc
Hi, For many years I have been interested in researching this family. My family descend from a Joseph Loines who appears on the 1841 census as a nailmaker in Clent.
He was born to Elizabeth Lines who was unmarried at the time. The father was a Charles Boughton who was married to Elizabeth Lines her aunt. Both aunt and niece were initially Elizabeth Lines. When the aunt died he married the niece so eventually the Elizabeths became Boughton on marriage.
An old friend and distant relative was also interested until fairly recently and he set out the difficulties he was experiencing here . He was a far better at family history than I will ever be!
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=314542.0
Unfortunately (as stated on the site) he no longer does genealogy.
I thought I would try one last time to see if anyone could give a clue as to how to crack this one!
Thanks to grangers14 for encouraging me to put a request on this website.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Loines/loins/loyns/lines etc
Hi, May I say thanks for the input so far.
I have been up in the loft to find my notes taken from the Amplett manuscripts and the other records at WRO in the 1980's. These were his notes into the gravestones in St Leonards Clent. They are set below as I interpreted them.
Elizabeth (the aunt) Boughton nee Lines born circa 1745 married 24/10/1777 buried 19/6/1805 (aged 60)
Elizabeth (the niece) Boughton nee Lines born circa 1778 married 21/10/1805 died 2/2/1843 (aged 65) Second marriage shortly after the aunt died!
The three illegitimate children were born Joseph Loyns baptised 27/8/1797 (my ancestor)
Benjamin Loyns baptised 20/4/1799
Martha Loins baptised 25/12/1802
Joseph married Ann Harris in Halesowen on 1/5/1825.
Ann was apparently the first person to take a donkey with tourists onto the hills (?apochryphal)
I hope this helps.
Again I am pleased with the response thus far. You are very kind

Re: Loines/loins/loyns/lines etc
Keefypops got some queries ..
I have the Clent Book and the Burial date of the aunt Elizabeth is 21 June 1805 ...no age given
so where did the burial you have come from you have 19 june....and where did the age come from as no age in book.
also do you have the death certif for the niece Elizabeth who dies in 1843
again where is the age at death from? my book only goes up to 1837
do you have the burial entry from the archives for Eliz niece does it say her age in that at death?
also do you know if any of these have headstones at clent?
ie any of the family?
