SUPER Senior Citizen

Post by maryann »

Today I get to celebrate my "Super" Senior Status, the Big 70 birthday! As I enter this new stage I already need glasses, have some false teeth, had hip surgery, osteo-arthritis and am now 2 inches shorted than I was 5 years ago. Also I am now probably the oldest member of this group. I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the help I have received. You all are the Best!!!

Doesn't it make you want to cringe !!! Sorry Maryann it has to be said. I'm on about people who say "it was before my time " or "I wasn't born then". AAAAAGGHHHH!! I love Mozart and Bach.Poems by Shelley and Keats ( well i dont but i could do ) . I do love Charlie Chaplin,Gracie Fields and Jeanette McDonald. They were around before i was born !! So what !!
As Sparky has already age is but a number and remember the beauty of a woman, with passing years only grows!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Yes, I guess age is jut a number. My grand-kids now in their 20's can't believe that that the first color TV didn't come out til I was 8 yrs. old & it certainly wasn't a flat screen, that my first cell phone was actually called a mobile phone & was so big and heavy you had to hold it with both hands, & you couldn't text on it. Also that I didn't have a computer or internet until I was 50 . One of my regrets is that I wish I had started my family research much earlier, but that's what a lot of us can say. Anyway thank you all.
