A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Re: Club 99 Tat Bank Road
I cant tell from the photo on Facebook but i think Club 99 is the old Trades Hall Club where i would go every wednesday night back in the 60's. The local bands would play there in fact one of the musicians who played there all those years ago was Mac Poole who sadly passed away May 21st .Mac played drums for all the great singers of that time. If you went to a Solid 60's tour starring John Leyton,Eden Kane or Marty Wilde 9 times out 10 it would be Mac on the drums. An Oldbury lad who escaped the drudgery of factory or office life and made his dreams come true. Mac Poole RIP.
I don't know anything about Club 99 but i have an idea it's Asian owned. I'm going to ask about Club 99 in this group i'm in called Black Country Memories and Nostalgia which incidently is fantastic for the photos and discussions about places and for me the people of the Black Country. Who's this singer you're interested in San?

Re: Club 99 Tat Bank Road
There's been quite a discussion about Club (( on facebook. It's only been called Club 99 for a few years before then it was The English Rose, named after Princess Diana. Before then however it was The Trades Hall. A lot opf people who have reacted were members in the 50's and i've just put the name of the singer Saarh Mathews nee Lowe on there so we will see what happens. Exciting eh?
San was Sarah Mathews a local girl?

Re: Club 99 Tat Bank Road
err..'ang on Rob, I'm waiting for confirmation of her actual name, looks like she went by another name but yes she would have been from Oldbury.
When I know for certain what I'm talking about, I'll add her photo to our gallery.
