I have just noticed a comment added by Harald Wolf in 2012 (unfortunately I dont get notified of any comments added) :roll:

I would ignore the Eland and go with Albert Edward,

It also says Eland in the probate and 1911census could be just he changed his middle name.

Checked it has edward but scribbled above is Eland wrote on later not officially :wink:

1888 is the first use of Eland in a trade directory, there are 11 entries altogether on Ancestry.
