Hi, I am new to this site. I noticed the "Sidaway" name and decided to post to your subject. I just today found where I am related to the Sidaways. I went to the Black Country site and found additional information regarding my family. Sarah Sidaway and Benjamin Barnsley were the parents of Mary Barnsley b. 1738 in Dudley England. Sarah's parents were Amos Sidaway b 1674 and Sarah Wakeman. Amos' parents were John Sidaway b 1645 and Annn Fernihough b. 1648. I am not too sure if this is Agnes's family but if it is I am related.

Ah, now I wonder if the 1881 census which Jo found is the right one. This census could read William SHARPED on the image and could be Shepherd as there is a William Shepherd living with Maria Carpenter in the 1901 census, or am I trying to make it fit in? but all the others name fit.
