Hall Family needs updating on BCC--LInell adding

Post by linell »

I added this family onto BCC years ago. Have recently heard from a descendant who gave me some more information. I had John Hall born about 1827 Halesowen, wrong one, he was born 1812 Quinton, parents James and Elizabeth. I cannot Log In to BCC anymore, could someone please update this family, there is a Marriage, two possible deaths and a connection to Zachariah Jones, John Hall's sister Ann Marries Zachariah Jones. Many thanks.

MARY ANN3 BAGLEY (JEREMIAH2, ROGER1) was born Abt. 1817 in Halesowen Worcs. She married (2) JOHN HALL 13th April 1852 Quinton. He was born Abt. 1812 in Quinton Worcs.

Marriage Details - John b Full Age Nailer Father James Hall Nailer
Mary Spinster Shopkeeper Father Jeremiah Bagley Greengrocer
Both were said to be living at Carters Lane.
Witnesses were Henry Foley McDonald and Jane Jones
John had a sister Ann who married a Zachariah Jones. They lived in Islington and their daughter was a Jane Jones who must have been the Witness Jane Jones to John and Mary’s Marriage.

Notes for MARY ANN BAGLEY:
Census: 1841, Islington Halesowen Worcs

In 1851 Mary Ann and all her children are living with Mary Ann's Widowed Mother Anne in Islington Halesowen. Mary Ann Married John Hall in 1852, no trace of her or John on the 1861 Census. Deaths for a Mary Ann Hall and John Henry Hall Stourbridge Registration District 1861? Sons William and Alfred are living with their Step Siblings in Church Lane Halesowen 1861, older Step Brother Henry is Head aged 21.

A list of possible children for John and Mary Ann:-
John Hall 1854
Jeremiah 1855 - 1860
Phoebe 1856 - 1858
Thomas 1860 - 1860

Children of MARY ANN BAGLEY are:
i. HENRY4 BAGLEY, b. Abt. 1841, Halesowen Worcs; d. Abt. 1866, Halesowen Worcs.

Notes for HENRY BAGLEY:
In 1861 Henry is Head of the household. Mother Mary Ann or Husband John Hall are, not on the Census? Henry is Head to brother James, sister Mary Ann and Step Brothers William and Alfred Hall.

More About HENRY BAGLEY:
Census: 1841, Islington Halesowen Worcs
Occupation: Fruiteer

34. ii. MARY ANN BAGLEY, b. Abt. 1843, Halesowen Worcs.
35. iii. JAMES BAGLEY, b. Abt. 1847, Halesowen Worcs.
iv. JEREMIAH BAGLEY, b. Abt. 1849, Halesowen Worcs.

Children of MARY BAGLEY and JOHN HALL are:
36. v. WILLIAM4 HALL, b. Abt. 1856, Halesowen Worcs.
37. vi. ALFRED HALL, b. Abt. 1857, Halesowen Worcs; d. Abt. 1898, Halesowen Worcs.

1841 Census Horse pool Row, Quinton (3 doors away from his father James)

Head John Hall age 28 Nail forger
Ann Hall age 40
Jonah Hyde age 80 ind
William Southall age 25 nailer
Jane Southall age 20
Susannah Southall age 8

John Hall may have Married before:
John Hall to Ann Hyde 29 4 1833 St Phillips Brum. So John must have been a Widower when he Married Mary Ann Bagley?

Jonah Hyde on Census must be wife Ann's father?

I think Jonah Hyde must be a Grandfather?

This is the Mary Ann Bagley link, nothing wrong with her tree, it is her husband John Hall which needs updating.

Think this is all done now. Couldn't find many Baptism's on Family Search. John and sister Ann were Baptised Halesowen, couldn't find any others?

Found another couple of Baps, Mira and Elizabeth daughters of James and Betty Hall, baptised Halesowen 1830 on the same day. Cannot find anymore Baps or Marriages, so can be archived now cheers everyone for all the help.
