Eaton/Smith/Raybould Connection Jo adding

Post by mumbles »

Jan added this Samuel Eaton but had Est. DOB as 1820
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =207683335
I have adjusted and added inn Census records

1841 Census Mill Lane Leicester Leics.
Samuel Eaton 25 Shoemaker
James Eaton 3
All born in County

1851 Census 111 Henshaw Street Leicester Leics.
Samuel Eaton Head 38 Boot & Shoemaker
Elizabeth Eaton wife 28
James Eaton son 13 Cordwainer
Ann Eaton dau 10
Rest born Houghton on Hill Leics.
All born in County

It looks as if Samuel was a widower in 1841
and I have found marriage 1842 to an Elizabeth Johnson Leicester Leics.

Then if one looks at daughter Angelina Eaton

Note :- Used Christian Name Ann instead of Angelina on some records

Marriage Looked up by RF

Added by Jan 22-11-14 not sure on this marriage... marriage
1875.
RAYBOLD * Thomas. SMITH Ann. Wordsley, Holy Trinity. Dudley Register Office. 018/005/487.
RAYBOULD * Thomas. SMITH Ann. Wordsley, Holy Trinity. Dudley Register Office. 018/005/487.

marriage needs tbc
poss father Samuel Eaton
and his father is a Thomas Raybould on marriage not a Joseph! so needs tbc.

Q is this Ann/Angelina prev

1861. 10 Grinsons? Yard, Leicester St Mary.
John Smith, head, 22, Shoe Maker, Worcestershire
Ann, wife, 20, Shoe Binder, Leicester

1871. 64, High Street, Kingswinford.
John Smith, head, 32, Shoemaker, Stourbridge
Ann, wife, 30, Leicestershire

There are still questions
a) Marriage to John Smith cannot be found
b) Father of Thomas Raybould is Joseph on one wedding and Thomas on the other
c) Baptism of Angelia Eaton found 1840 Leics. so where was she in 1841 and was Elizabeth Johnson her mother
d) Who did Samuel Eaton marry before Elizabeth Johnson

Ok an update

I have disconnected the Thomas Raybould that marries Angelina Eaton from the father Joseph Raybould.

I have viewed the marriages and the Thomas raybould that marries Eleanor salt then marries a sarah duffield
the sigs...are exactly the same

here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =164370540

The Thomas that marries Angelina eaton puts thomas as father and sig for him is totally different.
here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =668280332

couldnt see that thomas with father thomas on Bcc.

we could do with census for
1881 for Thomas raybould that marries Sarah Duffield
in 1871 he is a wid with father....then he marries Sarah in 1872

we could also do with earlier census for thomas that marries angelina eaton
we have him from 1881
1881 Census 61 High Street Kingswinford Stourbridge Staffs.
Thomas Raybould Head 38 Boot & Shoe Manufacturer born Quarry Bank Staffs.

Betsey A. Smith visitor 40 (m) born Tipton Staffs.
Eliza A. Smith visitor 11 born Tipton Staffs.
Ann M. Raybould visitor 9 born Tipton Staffs.
Rose H. Raybould servant 17 General Servant born Netherton Worcs.

1891 Census 61 High Street Kingswinford Stourbridge Staffs.
Thomas Raybould Head 47 Boot Maker born Quarry Bank Staffs.
Ann Raybould wife 49 born Leicester, Leics.
Joseph Raybould son 15 born Quarry Bank Staffs.
Eliza Westwood visitor 17
Emily Dullen servant 18 Domestic Servant
Rest born Brierley Hill Staffs.

1901 Census 61 High Street Kingswinford Stourbridge Staffs.
Thomas Raybould Head 59 Boot Maker & Shoe Maker
Angelina Raybould wife 60

Freeman, son, 12, shoe closer,
Tom, son, 10,
Susan, daur, 8,
Emma, daur, 5, St Marys Town, Leicestershire

Then I cant see them 1871.
I think Susan marries Arrhur Westwood. I have added that for a look up...
