What a load !!

Post by Rob »

Watching the hour long programme about the eclipse this morning. I thought i'd watch BBC as they're usually smack on when reporting events like this.Well i popped upstairs about 1030 our time for the basket of ironing which i thought i'd do whilst watching. I got sidetracked for a few minutes reading a football magazine, Goal September 1974 which i'd found the night before. Well i say found but i hadn't lost it anyway when i got back downstairs i sat down to watch further coverage of this magnificent event. After about 15 minutes i asked my youngest daughter when this eclipse was supposed to happen. She said what you on about it happened 15 minutes ago. I'd missed it !! Then i'm seeing and hearing reports that wildlife stopped moving and the heavens went dark. Is it me? Did the UK experience something the rest of Europe didn't?

Oh what a shame you missed it Rob. It was great up here, the sky went darker, the birds stopped chirping, the crows stopped in mid-flight, the field mouse stopped eating the nuts and even the traffic stopped.

I was not impressed either . It was very cloudy . It just went a bit darker than normal and the only thing that stopped making a noise was my hubby, has he was too busy looking up at the sky

It's as true as I'm sitting here on a sunny beach in my bikini drinking a sex on the beach cocktail

No, seriously, it did go darker, saw partial eclipse, but we didn't see the full eclipse due to the clouds.
