I do not think Sarah Poole married a William Poole but went on to live with William Woodward

I think that marriage at the start of the thread is as I found census.
I agree that Sarah Poole of that family you linked may have just live with William Woodward.
I just wondered if I had corrected that family disconnected the William that was there?

think the Poole/ Growcott connection grangers14 has found in Sedgley/Tipton is the right one as ties up with marriage in 1858

I havent been able to find a death for William but I did look at the 1871 census to see if he was about,

??
1871. Chicken Lane? Cannock Road, Wolverhampton
William Poole, head, 50, Inn Keeper at Railway ?
Eliza, wife, 47,
William P Burch? Grand son, 1
Sarah A Salt, servant, 17, Domestic, ?
All others born Wolverhampton

But I couldnt find them earlier? I was wondering if he and Sarah had split up and may be the other children were John Yardley who was living with her as a lodger?
:?
