I asked my Mom about the name and she said she wasn't sure but she said it was common for them to go by their middle names then in her family, everything I found just said Ernest except the death certificate, I found a copy of the actual certificate online and it states John Ernest. I will look into getting a copy of the marriage certificate for my great grandparents, I'm sure they ship to Canada
