Please does anyone have Worldwide membership on Ancestry.
If so could you find out for me about the following family.. travelling to the USA about 1846/47
William Morris born in Staffordshire in about 1821 and his wife Keturah born about 1824 also their son William (jnr)born about 1846.
This couple had a daughter Phoebe born in USA about 1848.
I think William (snr)died in the USA and Keturah and her children travelled back to the u k
I would be grateful if anyone could find out for me when they emigrated, what happened to William snr, where Phoebe was born and when the family arrives back in the UK and on what vessel.

I checked ancestry and couldn't find anything on this family in the USA. As you probably already know, Keturah and kids are back living in Tipton on the 1851 census. She has remarried to Joseph Bissell. On that census and the 1861 census Phoebe shows she was born in American Samoa, which is in the Polynesian Islands. These at that time included Hawaii, Easter Island and New Zealand.

The 1851 census has Phebe aged 3, born United States. In 1861 it says America. The American Samoa bit is a flight of fancy by some transcriber
