William Faulkner

Post by Annie »

I am trying to find a marriage for William Faulkner who was born about 1809 at Rowley Regis and Hannah Hatton who was born about 1811 and born at Tipton, they married about 1829 but not sure which Church it would have taken place.
If I can find a marriage it may help me to find Williams parents, if anyone could please tell me which parish records I need for these area's I would appreciate it so much.

Hi Northern Lass

Thank you for looking for me, do you know what Parish Records I could purchase to cover these area's please. :-)

I'm making a guess at 1829 for the marriage because their 1st child was born 1831.

HI Annie
it could be anyone of them!
there are so many that would cover that area
needle in a haystack
honestly it would be.
So many churches in Staffs and Worcs that cover RRegis and Tipton
and then they might have got married elsewhere like Warks!

So the IGI has some records

where did they baptize the kids?
that might help
and where were they living on the first census you get them on.
Dudley archives
and sandwell have a list of all the records they have in their archives
but there are loads
