A few weeks ago I had a phone call from a Rhonda WESTON in Canada, asking me if I was a relative as her
distant family originated in Tamworth, I told her no, my family came from The Black Country, but I would try
and find out any relies that might connect and to ring me the next day. I found two possible families and
gave her the addresses and tele.nos......Yesterday I had a letter from her, thanking me, She had visited this
country for a couple of weeks and contacted the two families, one of which was her long lost relatives. She
thanked me and finally stated that she really appreciated my help, they were able to visit with Cliff & Pat
(Weston) both in their 80s and said their time together was priceless!
Made me feel all the money, time & effort invested in searching worthwhile!!!!!!!!

It's good when that sort of thing happens isn't it? I helped an elderly gentleman in our village to find a cousin he didn't know existed, he's even been out to Aus to visit. But there can be sadness too, I was recently contacted by an amateur genealogist in Aus whose elderly neighbour was on my family tree. She was hoping to get in touch with any extant cousins. Obviously one has to be careful in these things but I was able to find one, contact them and get their Ok to pass details on. I was just about to send the details off to the genealogist when I received an email from him telling me the lady had had a stroke and not to hope too much, she never recovered, dying a few days later, it was sad with so many hopes raised to have them dashed.
