"Complete"Miner or Minder

Post by mumbles »

Can anyone find Joseph Miner before marriage and after
Catherine is Catherine Perkins and is on bcc

1851 Census Primrose Hill Dudley Staffs.
Richard Perkins Head 57 Labourer born West Felton Shrewsbury
Elizabeth Perkins wife 54 born Laughcholle Denbighs.
Joseph Miner son.in.law 22 Coal Miner
Catherine Miner dau 21
Rest born Rowley Regis Staffs.

Have posted marriage :-
MINDER Joseph PERKINS Catherine Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/010/228 1850 (26/8/1850)

Problem appears to be that surname changes from Miner to Minder or Mander

Found them on 1861 and 1871 and then Joseph remarried a Mary Ann between 1871 and 1881

Possible his father is a John Miner and he has a sister Maria

MINER Joseph BAILEY Mary A Dudley, St James Dudley Register Office 202/006/146 1871

This ties up with 1881 Census as Bailey step.children living with them

I think I have found connection to Joseph Miner on bcc who married Mary Ann Beddows
Marriage info added by jan and looked up at archives by Maggie Smith
17 Sep 1871 – St James, Dudley,
By Banns
Joseph Miner (X), 41, W, Miner, of Dudley, Father John Miner (Dead), Labourer
Mary Ann Bailey (X), 30, W, of Dudley, Father John Beddall, Blacksmith
Wit : William Perkins X and Beatrice (Hucher?) X

and Joseph Miner who first married Catherine Perkins dau of Richard Perkins

William Perkins and Beatrice (Hucher /) witnesses at second marriage is possibly William Perkins and Beatrice Fletcher who married St. James Dudley 1871

William Perkins born 1852 is nephew of Catherine Perkins who married Joseph Miner so he was witness at second marriage of his uncle

1881 Census for William and Beatrice ties up with age and location for William Perkins born 1852
