Does anyone know the easiest (and cheapest!) way to find out if a relative was at thia school in 1891... my great grandfather Alfred Preston does not appear on the 1891 census with the rest of his family and I know his father had died leaving several children. An Alfred Preston appears on the 1891 census at the school, is the right age and was born in the same place but I don't want to spend a fortune on researching further without more evidence it is him
Thanks for anyone who can help

Have you tried contacting The Farningham & Eynesford Local History Society and The Horton Kirby & South Darenth Local History Society? They might be able to help.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.

Thanks for your advice - got in touch with them and confirmed this is my relation! Very helpful guy who is going to get me a copy of his records.
