FMP has a record of a marriage by licence of a Joseph Ingley (Hingley), of Rowley Regis, and a Sarah Tecktor, of Astley, on 14 July 1778. Witnesses shown as John Southall and Joseph Lane.

Any chance this is the son of James

Yes, this is the Joseph I mean.

I noted the exchange re James Hingley and Linell's comment that his son Joseph was not mentioned in his Will and may have left the area. The record I have outlined is on FMP but that is the only information I have; presumably the wedding was in Astley Church, the bride's home village

If they Married by License there should be a copy in some Archive somewhere? Will contain Father's Names, Occupations, where they lived.
