Just opening up a topic on these Hills Streets and Whitehouses that seem to link to that Elise Simon and Solomon Hill

we have a topic in Brick walls re who Elise Simon is so dont want to run with her here
but it might shed some light on who she is in the end.....

I will put what we find on Connections later........

So what have we so far.........

Elise Simon and Solomon Hill got marriage details here......

28 June 1919 Stourbridge register office
- Solomon Hill 31 yrs father Samuel
-Elise Simon 27 yrs- Henry Simon farmer
Both put as lived 167 high st quarry bank
witnesses G E Whitehouse and E J Cole

now can we find more on these mentioned

Sols brother marries a Street
so who is that?

and that Streets sister is a Mildred Street married a William T Whitehouse

lets see what we can add to this lot

Just adding this think Samuel married twice

that George is Matildas I think....Rocky fowler could do with you confirming this....

Hill George Stourbridge 6c 178

Eliza is his first wife
she dies in dec 1894 age 25 Stourbridge

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =193822843

then he must marry
1895
HILL * Samuel BAGLEY Matilda Quarry Bank, Christ Church Dudley Register Office 016/003/92

so Bert Hill is Sols half brother

1919
Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference

I looked on 1911 by just adding Marjorie Street and another name as Mildred. It showed up as Margery aged 8 in Dudley. Changing it round it showed Mildred as 12.
Checking a possible one in 1901 father was John and Mother Annie. Altering names shows John aged 39 and Annie 34 Doris 15.
I know its not fool proof but adds up to the 1901 census.
1901 census
3 Kings Street, Rowley Regis
John Street, head, 29, coal miner underground, Brierly Hill
Annie, wife, 25, Cradley Heath
Doris, daur, 5, Handsworth
Mildred, daur, 2, Handsworth

I'll add it and leave Sunderland out although it does say that on the census.

Jo :)

Hi Jo meant dont add it to his place of birth in actual entry when adding it to connections as on earlier census says Quarry bank
absolutely fine to add the census info as on actual image cos that is what has been transcribed...they must have got it wrong.
So yes add to notes exactly what it says and thanks

So we dont know what that girl born in 1900's name is
is it Elisia
or Elsie or
Elise????

1900 HILL Elsie M Stourbridge Dudley Register Office STO/114/69
Births Jun 1900 HILL Elsie Stourbridge 6c 208

so Yes I think we need to put Elsie- certainly in the actual ancestors file ie when opeining it with dob place of birth etc
on the notes put what census says or as near as we can decipher
