"Complete"Charles Webb of Webb Glassworks

Post by mumbles »

Have Added details of Webb family who owned a number of Glassworks in Stourbridge

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =166600480

However I could not find Charles Webb before marriage

What is strange is that all family trees on Ancestry either have Charles not marrying or marrying a Charlotte Wilkes and having Children
It is obvious right marriage is to Maria Louisa Hick and I have her family to add

Wilkes wedding is wrong NL as 19/1/1857 and Charlotte and children end up in USA and she is still living in 1911.
The Ancestry trees are wrong
Need to find Charles in 1861 as I have him placed on all other Census records
Maria Louisa Hick is still with her mother in Bath in 1861 so he was not there visiting

Thanks Jimmy,
That must be him as Family sent round selling Glass Products
1861 Census White Horse Hotel West Leeds Leeds Yorkshire
Charles Webb visitor 25 (u) Commercial Traveller born Stourbridge Worcs.

He married Maria Louisa Hick in 1865
Her mother died in Bath in 1877 and left £12,000 so probably Charles Webb's wife was left some of it
