. My uncle John told me that he talked to Katrina via email about our background. I learned about the story about William Rose and Ellen Downs, quite a tragic tale. I have been researching my father's side (pure Greek from Corfu in particular) and I think that side may have my British side beat as far as crazy relatives go 
.I am an only child and was born in the U.S. to European parents. I don't have much family around, they are scattered everywhere. Oddly enough I married another only child, recently we both started researching our ancestors. We both use Ancestors.com.
