Electoral rolls

Post by mjay »

Hi all
How do I go about finding electoral rolls to find my great Grandads addresses or do I have to wait patiently for 1921 censuses.

Thanx 8)

If you know where he was living, you will usually need to visit the local archives and plough through addresses, as they won't be indexed by name. They are usually in street order though, so are not that difficult. You will of course only be able to see those people who are of voting age. Where was he living, and what date are you looking for?
