Morning,
I've recently put together a tutorial on how you can restore your old family photos for free. For any budding genealogist or person looking to have a go at restoring basic/medium damage to the photo this is the perfect starting point, and as I say, it's free.

Photoshop is the go to tool for photo editing but it will set you back a few hundred pounds straightaway. On the tutorial we demonstrate the effectiveness of the GIMP editing program, which is free to download, and as you'll see from the example used on the tutorial it's a very capable and effective editing program that will allow you to edit your photos for free.
Let me know how you get on.
Kind regards
Brent

Re: Free Photo Restoration Tutorial
Looks easy, although personally I don't mind a bit of wear and tear on my old family photo's - shows they've live a bit!
