The recording sounds like a brilliant idea. It may be that distant recollections sound too formal to him in a recording, but I think that we all know that what must be sixty years at least is bound to affect both memory and perspective. That said, it would be wrong to lose that story completely, even if there is a degree of embellishment to it!
