Note the variety of spellings, particularly "Brading". I have never understood why a 'g' was added. Were people really pronouncing it that way?

They are both buried in the Oldbury public cemetery in Smethwick, in "old section B", grave 211. I went to that cemetery a few years ago and found a grave marked B-211 which a worker there told me was indeed in the "old section". But that grave was occupied by a stone marked Alfred Hawkins who died in 1956!
