Ahnentafel in written form

I want to find an Ahnentafel in written form

I can do the graphic one on sheets or on computer program

but is there a site that offers you as number 1 then all your ancestors going down a list in detail
I can only get a descendants list on family tree maker unless I am missing somat on it.

actually think tribal pages does it

I understood ahnentafel to be a non-graphic system starting with the subject as 1, the subjects father as 2 and mother as 3 then the subjects paternal grandfather as 4, paternal grandmother as 5, maternal grandfather as 6, maternal grandmother as 7 etc. Apart from the subject all males are even numbered and all females odd numbered. As such aren't all ahnentafels written?

Ahnentafel (pronounced Ah-nin-tah-fel) German for ancestor (ahnen) and table (tafel)
numbering system for individuals

Yes except for the first individual you are recording every male has an even number (2-4-6-8 etc) and every femail has an odd number (3-5-7-9 etc)

So you could produce the Ahnentafel format in written form.
The numbers would be the same as in the Pedigree chart.

So you could have a written report like this using Jessie Rose my Gmother as an eg of the Ahentafel T.pages can produce
I have just pulled it off there..they call it an ancestor report Ahnentafel in their list.


So Jessie is no 1
her father is no 2
mother no 3
etc

So that number that they are is replicated when they are mentioned in report so you know where they sit in tree
