In 1861, the ages of children and Joseph's change of occupation bothers me :?

what do we think?

Ok Mally have done the marriage look up for Joseph Taylor and Mary ann Moreton
it checks out nicely
and....

was able to join Thomas father up ( one of margarets) with the ones you already had on!

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =351116366

not sure if we have 2 Marys in the family though
so that needs to be checked
ie we got a Mary b 1829
and then Mary ann b 1833

are they one and the same

anyone find this family on earlier census
Thomas apparently dies 1836
so it will be just Elizabeth

so that has got to be his brother and of course her 1/2 sister....

cos he is the witness on Josephs marriage

can we find a Joseph and Joshua on a census together with father Samuel...and hopefully find the mothers name then

Trying to find couple of things with this lot

1. are there 2 Marys for Elizabeth
ie Mary b 1829 and Mary Ann b 1833

footnote...sorted this now...one is maria and one ismary ann...tree updated

2. are Joseph Taylor and Joshua Taylor bros
dont think they are

think Phillis is wife of Samuel...and mother of Joseph

1851 census Gadds Green Rowley Regis

Joseph b 1831
Joshua b 1840

:?

On Ances trees someone has got Phillis Whitehall as married to John taylor
I dont think that is quite right.

On the 1851 She is with I presume her parents
here....

1851 Census Gadds Green Rowley Regis
Joseph Whitehall h m 69 nailforger b RR
Sarah Whitehall wife 77 nailforger b RR
Phillis Taylor Inmate widow 46 nail forger b RR
Joseph Taylor Inmate u 18 Coalminer b RR
Samuel Taylor son 16 Coalminer b RR
William Taylor son 14 nail forger b RR

On the 1861 she is next door to....
it says
Joseph and Eve Taylor so that must be Joshua and Eve
and their dau Fanny (Francis)

then next hse hold
Sarah Whittall H wid 90 Pauper b RR
Phillis Taylor h unm 46 nailer b RR
Joseph Taylor son unm 28 b rr

this is confusing

Joseph unmarried should be married to Mary Ann Moreton sister of Eve
but he isnt
so is that bapt for Samuel and Phillis for a Joshua and not Joseph
Christening
12 Aug 1832
St Thomas Dudley parents samuel and Phillis Taylor

on the 1851 there is a John Taylor with Joshua and he is a widower
RRegis think it said the village

both Joseph TAylor (b 1832) and Josua Taylor( b 1839)
marry 18 Dec 1859 St Thomas Dudley to 2 Moreton sisters

1859
MORETON Eve TAYLOR Joshua Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/018/392
MORETON Mary A TAYLOR Joseph Dudley, St Thomas Dudley Register Office 204/018/393

Josephs father on marriage is a Samuel

somat aint rite...

help!!
