Brazil 2014..here come the Aussies!!!

Post by MarkCDodd »

We just qualified for our third World Cup in a row!!!!

We did really well in 2006 and were cheated out of the final 8 by a dodgy penalty to Italy after we had outplayed them for 90 minutes.

2010 was pretty crap as the Aussies played miserably and there was no England to barrack for (well, they were there but forgot how to play) and the African teams didn't do as well as I had hoped.

So I am hoping 2014 is a good tournament for us and we at least get to the final 16.

We host the Asian Cup in 2015 and that is a huge tournament so a couple of good years of football in Oz.

Did I mention that we beat The Lions in the Rugby Union test yesterday. The first commonwealth team in 16 years to beat them. You can keep that little vial of ashes. We want the big shiny trophies that rugby hands out :P
