Pets

We had to have our much loved dog put to sleep on Thursday, he was old and had heart disease, but he has left a huge space in our lives.

So sad - my family always brought a new one into the household when the current ones were getting older, it seemed to re-invigorate the old one; give them a chance to show who was boss and to break the youngster into the ways of the household and then, when the time came, there was always a pet as part of the family to help get over the sadness.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.

Always sad when a pet, especially a dog, dies. We always had a dog in our house when growing up and cats although i'm not too keen on them.
That's the trouble with loving a pet, they die.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, but it sounds like you did the right thing.

That's the tough thing about having pets... with their lives being so much shorter than ours, we suffer this sadness over and over again. I've often wondered whether having them is worth the pain of losing them, but it is. For the loving!
