Francis MacKay b. 11 Oct 1757, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland. Father Donald MacKay b. Watten, Caithness 07 Apr 1732, , mother Elspet Sinclair. Is it possible to find a wife in Scotland, for this Francis. I also I have a lead that Donald's father was a Patrick MacKay can this be confirmed.
My main question for this querry though, is, Francis 11 Oct 1757 the father of Daniel McKay b. 1798 ( Caithness ? ) Scotland - d. 1859 Welland, On., Canada? If this Francis is the father of Daniel, he died 1813 Welland, On., Canada also!!!!!!!! If this Francis is correct he had 2 brothers - 1. William b. 6 Jun 1762 Caithness, married to Catharine Campbell b. 1787 &, 2. George b. 4 Jul Caithness 1765.
If at all possible, please confirm, Donald & Elspet as parents & Patrick as grandfather!!!!!!!
Thank you very much for any help!!!!!!!!!!
Jeff
