New to forum
I have been researching my family tree on and off for the last ten years, and have succeeded in getting back to 1565 when I find my ancestors in the area of Adbaston. They gradually moved downwards until around 1800 they reached Tipton. In 1883, my GGG Grandfather moved to Wales and worked in the nearby steelwrorks. I am interested in other people researching the Martin surname, any old photos of where my family may have lived in Tipton (Ocker Hill, Leabrook Road etc) I am also open to any ideas on how to search further back.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

It was Griffithstown, he moved here in 1883. There were numerous Steelworks etc in the area. I believe the black Country was going into decline around then.

Not as far as I know. Have around 600 or so in my family tree, not easy to keep track of when they use only a few names - Joseph, David and James
