Jack Judge fishmonger turned songwriter and performer from Oldbury died 1938, his most famous creation being It's a Long Way to Tipperary first performed at the Grand Theatre, Stalybridge in 1912 and he was believed to have Irish ancestory.

On 30 January 1912, Jack Judge (a native of Oldbury, Birmingham, Worcestershire, England) was performing at "The Grand" Theatre, Stalybridge, Cheshire, England with his younger brother Ted (Edward) Withey in a Music Hall production.
