Antie em.........My mother used to use the word Morkin or Mawkin (Scruffy) was it a general Black Country expresion or only Halesowen etc.

My mom (from Tipton) used to say dow stand around looking like a morkin - don't stand there looking vacant !!!
My dad was Welsh - so they both had a different word for everything - no wonder I grew up confused !!!

Some of the words I remember but I thought were Northern.
May be a mixture if people moved around.
I love accents and the way people use words.
I really dont like how some children speak around here or the ones who think they are gangsters from America
