Thankyou I'm not sure where to look for the marriage of John Bestwick and Ann...any advice on this please? I dont think freeBMD goes back far enough. I'll give it a go anyway.

I was right about freeBMD unfortunately
That looks possible although if he was baptised in 1799 then that would have made him only 16 when Hannah was born. I know that was probably the norm in those days. I will have to try and find out about Hannah's siblings as when they were born should give more idea if this is the right John or not
Im stuck now with no more censuses and dont know where to look to get any further back
Thanks

This is Hannah in 1841 She was married by then and aged 25. Im wondering whether that is Ann her mother and her two younger brothers that they are living with. In which case she could have been the eldest and the John Bestwick you have could be right. He doesnt appear to be on the 1841 census though and it doesnt give any info about relationships etc..

1841. Warslow, Allstonefield, Staffordshire.
Ann Bestwick 55.
George Bestwick 14.
Robert Bestwick 12.

looks like same house.

George Sutton 35. Ag lab.
Hannah Sutton 25.
Mary Sutton 2.
N K Sutton 1 MO.

And next house another family of Bestwicks. (Farmers)
