Yes I think Maria was either prev married or son Thomas Parkes (father of Wm Parkes)
was born out of wedlock.

The certificate arrived today.

Maria was married previously and her name was Parkes (Widow), prior to that she was Partridge.
So is William her Grandson???

I would think that Wm Parkes is the son of one of Maria's children, one born a few years before her Marriage to Thomas Woodall in 1830. Wm is recorded as Grandson on the 51 & 61 Census.
