It seems Joseph was married at least 3 times.
Susan(Susanna) Parkes-Elizabeth Unknown and Isabella Hemus.
1871 he's married or living with Elizabeth.

Who's Louise Beard? I can't find her on any more censuses or marriages.She was born in America.
Did Joseph go to America? Can anyone find a marriage for Joseph and Elizabeth?

I think Lilla and Louise may be the same person.Although in 1861 Lilla is transcribed as being born in Oldbury,Worc's and Louise in 1871 as born in America,US.
I can't find Lilla Beard on Ancestry after 1861 but neither can i find Louise Beard after 1871.Both of them could have died and Louise could have married before 1881.
Also is there someone who ould look up transatlantic crossings for Joseph Powell Beard and Susan(Susanna) Beard between 1854 and 1860?

Looks like the job is even too much for "The Cat"!!
I have a feeling that Louise Beard could be a daughter of Elizabeth Stanger.We will have to wait for the lookup Joseph Beard-Elizabeth Stanger. :(
