No! Peter the penguins did not come up Trumps!
Typically you!
anyway I had a great day and thank you everyone once again for you kind messages
oh and 18 chestnut presume you mean look a bit younger than 50......if so next time I see ya will slip you that fiver!
Lots of indulging of alchofrol and choccies and a lovely dinner cooked by my wonderful mother
and just a good day was had....got a bit of an 'ead now mind you.
50 sounds soooooooooooo old
But what can we do about getting old...
We may Welcome it
We may dread it
We may be indifferent .....
but the alternative to getting old doesn't bear thinking about does it!
So on a cheery note wanted to share this John Donne Poem with you all....
DEATH BE NOT PROUD
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell;
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

I have been it for what seems like ages, I would rather be in the 20's club knowing what I now know.
