ARC TBC - Where to go! - Samuel Jenkins

Post by PeterJ »

My father has done extensive research on Samuel Jarrett Jenkins descendants from the time he arrived in New Zealand aboard the Mystery in 1859. I now live in the UK and have set out to go back further but am struggling to find any early information on him! I cannot find his birth record which should then allow me to confirm an area and his parents extra. The only concrete information I have (UK end) is the registration of his first born Edward Jarrett Jenkins on 24 Dec 1857 in Nottingham and his wife Mary Ann Whaplington in a census with her family prior to marriage. Unsubstantiated information is as follows
Born 25 October 1829 in the Salop area. Father is thought to be Stephen. Mother was Ann Jenkins nee Jarrett.

Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated

Peter

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
