ARC TBC........................Worton's of Tipton

Post by davy49 »

I have been researching my family for a few years and at the moment seem to have hit a brick wall, any help to fill in gaps or facts would be most appreciated.
The details I have so far are:-
My 3rd great Grandfather Joseph Worton was born 1811 married to Ann Cherrington.Found in the 1841 and 1851 census's living in Tipton.
My 2nd Great Grandfather John Worton 1832-1905 married in 1851 to Matilda Jackson in Tipton. The family can be found in the Census' s of 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 and1891 living in Tipton each occasion.
My Great Grandfather John Wherton ( note name change ) 1857-1893 married in 1880 to Harriet Langford at Lower Gornal. Found in the census' s of 1871, 1881 and 1891 living in Tipton each occasion.
My Grandfather Edgar Wherton ( also known as Hector ) 1881-1936 married in 1900 to Mary Ann Davis at St Paul's Tipton. Found in the Census' s of 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 living in Tipton and latterly Oldbury. He worked as a Boatman from the age of 15 until his death in 1936.
As I said before any help would be much appreciated.
