No, i didn't order the death certs, they never felt right to me. And yes, i think we should disscinnect Jesse from where he is and put him tentatively with Sophia. I'm also starting to wonder if she was married to John Dunn first. It is interesting though that when Jesse's daughter visits in 1861(?), she is listed as a visitor, but there is another younger child listed as grandchild. Was Sophia a stepmother?

Hi Jan, oh that's a damn nuisance then, thought Thurza was a niece. Have noticed that all the family you have found were born Dudley or Brierley Hill, (Brierley Hill runs into Dudley) so that at least links them. Would be a good idea to find all the Marriages and see who the Witnesses were, making a list of them to double check. Linell.

Wow, I'm going to have to take some time tomorrow to absorb all of this. I did note in your last post that James was listed on a census as a shoemaker. If i remember correctly, Sophia was listed as working on shoes in one of the earlier census.
