Sidonia was a spinster when she married Benjamin so we know her maiden name is Pearson.

If Sidonia has not divorced Benjamin Bourne and was just his widow then her legal name would still be Sidonia Bourne.

She would have to marry under the name Sidonia Bourne yet the Sidonia who marries Henry Bentley using the surname Pearson.

The second marriage says she is a widow but her father's surname, and therefore her maiden name, is Bunns or Burns.

So these are two different women. One was born Sidonia Bunn, Burns, Bourne, Bourns and the other Sidonia Pearson.

Here is a Bourns and Pearson connection. I think these are Sidonia Bourns' parents and that Elizabeth Pearson is related, possibly a sibling, of Humphrey's father.

groom's name: Joseph Bourns
groom's birth date:
groom's birthplace:
groom's age:
bride's name: Elizabeth Pearson
bride's birth date:
bride's birthplace:
bride's age:
marriage date: 25 Apr 1791
marriage place: St. Mary'S, Kingswinford, Stafford, England
groom's father's name:
groom's mother's name:
bride's father's name:
bride's mother's name:
groom's race:
groom's marital status:
groom's previous wife's name:
bride's race:
bride's marital status:
bride's previous husband's name:
indexing project (batch) number: M00063-0
system origin: England-EASy

reference number: item 3

I think this Sidonia is on the 1851 Kingswinford Census
1851 Census Brierley Hill Staff
Benjamin Bourne 39
Selvey Bourne 38
Ann Bourne 6
Joseph Pearson wifes father 78
Caroline Pearson 18
Think she is a sister of Hezekiah and Humphrey Pearson, believe Caroline is Humphrey's dau from 1st marriage.

great I think that sounds about right too for Sidonia
not got round to adding this yet

so if that is Joseph means we have a dob for him now we can slot in.
and ties up Hezekiah Humphrey and Sidonia as sibs?

Well, I think this is right. There were several other siblings, but I still working on that. I was just about to add a wife for Caleb Pearson, Humphreys, son, (IGI listing at Christ Church to Elizabeth Jones 1859, shows Caleb's father as Humphrey and hers as John Jones) but may I better ask for a look-up? I have found Caleb on 1861 Census with wife Elizabeth and a Ellen Jones, listed as sister-in-law. Also I think maybe Hurmphrey's first wife may have been Mary Perkes, married St. Thomas Dudley, 25 Feb. 1827, Not sure. I'll add the census for these if you want me to?
