"At the Petty Sessions at Brierley Hill, on Monday last, George Potter was charged by Henry Mills,
a Parish constable, with assaulting him on the 20th May, while in the execution of his duty. Mr.
Homer defended.

Complainant said that on the above date he saw the defendant at the DOG AND PARTRIDGE public
house. He was quite drunk. Defendant struck him on the face and kicked him on the leg. His face,
eyes, and legs were injured. A witness gave corroboratrive evidence, and defendant was fined 50s
and costs; in default 2 months."

There is a Jenny Mason, aged 2, a patient in the Dudley Guest Hospital, Tipton Road, Dudley but the image says she was born in Tipton, so it might be a different Jenny (from Ancestry)
